Mar 08: We currently have some funds to donate, so please DO let me know.

18th March 2008  "Royal Flying Doctors Service (Australia)"

Many thanks to Wiz for suggesting this one.  The Royal Flying Doctor Service is the first, largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisation in the world. Using the latest in aviation, communication and medical technology, they bring an extensive healthcare network to those who live, work and travel throughout regional Australia and the vast Australian Outback.

31st August 2006  "Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund (UK)"

Many thanks to Peter for suggesting this one.   The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund exists to provide assistance to those of the extended Royal Air Force Family who need support as a consequence of poverty, sickness, disability, accident, infirmity or other adversity.

21st April 2004  "Hiram Percy Maxim Memorial Station (USA)"

OK, how did this non-aviation related donation sneak in?  Well, quite a few US based radio hams have bought Morse Tutor, and W1AW is one of the strongest historic symbols of Amateur Radio.  So the fourth donation ($25) is supporting W1AW, the Hiram Percy Maxim Memorial Station, a living memorial located in Newington, Connecticut, USA.  Many thanks to John for suggesting this one.

17th April 2004  "Flying Scholarships for the Disabled (UK)"

The third donation (£10) from the sales of Morse Tutor will help support Scholarships for the Disabled.  This is a charity dedicated to helping disabled people to discover their true potential through the mental and physical stimulation of learning to fly a light aircraft.

19th August 2003  "Challenge Air (USA)"

The second donation ($40) from the sales of Morse Tutor will help support the work of Challenge Air, a not-for-profit organization that offers motivational, inspirational and life-changing experiences to physically challenged children and youth through aviation.  Many thanks to Carney Aviation (an excellent flying club in Connecticut, USA) for suggesting this charity.

26th May 2003  "The Daisy Fund (UK)"

The very first donation (£25.00) from the sales of Morse Tutor will support the work of The Daisy Fund - supporting a very brave little girl who is facing the loss of both eyes due to cancer.  Her parents are flying between the UK and USA where Daisy is being treated, and this small donation will help to support the costs of their air travel.  I cannot think of a more worthwhile way of starting the Morse Tutor donations.  I'd also like to say a special thanks to Brian, who sent an extra donation over and above what the program cost him.
